Description
BMW group tester one (GT1) is offered to the aftermarket in the same specification that is currently supplied to BMW franchised dealers. It is a special-purpose tool for BMW Series.
GT1 is supplied with a Pentium based laptop PC on a Windows platform connected to a high specification communications and measurement interface.
GT1 has a complete coverage of ALL BMW systems, all things that can only be done by using the GT1, this function is called Electronic Control Unit (ECU) programming and configuration. Many of the original electronic systems on modern vehicles can now be re programmed by using software; historically any changes to rectify software problems would involve to a new ECU which would be purchased from the parts department and that is the only way the independent market today is able to overcome these problems. BMW GT1 system allows you reprogramm all BMW car's ECU or to fix software or to install a blank ECU for a repaired vehicle. GT1 is the only system that allows you to do this and is absolutely essential if working on Freelander , the GT1 is also the only system that provides all diagnostics and programming for the latest BMW launched this year.
BMW GT1 software kit comprises of five system ;TIS system;DIS data system ; Diagnosis system ;Measuring system and Manangement system.You can test and check data information the same time.

FAQ
Q:Can GT1 do coding and programming?
A: No.GT1 can not do coding and programming.It is good for diagnosing cars which are before year 2005.
Q: Why does the package with net cable?
A: Because GT1 should be used with computer, but the computer should be connected with internet. During the diagnosing, GT1 must find the IP address of the computer . The orange signal LED is blinking which shows it is connected successfully. The net cable is not represent GT1 can be updated online, it means GT1 should find the special IP address and then connected successfully.
Q:Why does it not only with 20pin cable but also with 16pin ?
A:Because BMW car models from year 1998 to 2001 not only with 20pin cable but also with 16pin one. This make sure that car models before year 2005 can be nearly diagnosed.
Q: What is the difference between GT1 and OPS?
A: They have one same function that is diagnose.GT1 is good for cars before year 2005 while OPS is good for cars after that,and OPS can do year 2009 models.OPS can do coding and programming for cars have fiber.
